Andhra Pradesh is set to emerge as a global investment destination under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, said Minister for Investments and Infrastructure BC Janardan Reddy. Addressing a stakeholders’ consultation on Maritime, Logistics, and Infrastructure Development in Vijayawada on Tuesday, the minister highlighted the State’s strategic initiatives to strengthen its maritime and logistics sectors.
Emphasizing collaboration, Janardan Reddy underscored the role of Andhra Pradesh in the Union government’s National Logistics Policy, which aims to position India among the top 25 nations in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) by 2030. He noted that the State, with its extensive 1,053 km coastline, has introduced the Maritime Policy 2024-29, targeting a 20% share of India’s cargo movement by 2047.
Further reinforcing its commitment to logistics excellence, Andhra Pradesh recently topped the 2024 LEADS Index as a ‘Fast Mover,’ reflecting its focus on port-based logistics and coastal tourism. The minister expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their valuable inputs and urged continuous collaboration to achieve Naidu’s vision of a sustainable and globally competitive Andhra Pradesh by 2047.
