Ashutosh Dwivedi Recommended as Director (Technical) of Northern Coalfields Limited

The Public Enterprises Selection Board has recommended Ashutosh Dwivedi for the post of Director (Technical) at Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Schedule ‘B’ Miniratna company under the Ministry of Coal. The selection was made during the board meeting held on May 28, 2025.

Dwivedi is currently serving as Executive Director (Safety & Rescue) at Coal India Limited, the parent company of NCL and India’s largest coal-producing PSU. Known for his technical acumen and leadership in critical safety operations, Dwivedi brings extensive experience to the new role.

He is expected to succeed Shri Sunil Prasad Singh, who has been serving as Director (Technical) of NCL since July 4, 2023. Prior to his elevation to the board, Singh held the position of General Manager of the Krishnashila Area at NCL, where he was instrumental in several key operational improvements.
