Mumbai-headquartered Axis Bank has rolled out ‘HouseWorkIsWork’ initiative to offer an excellent opportunity to those who aspire to rejoin the professional space. Through this initiative, the bank aims to give urban educated women the confidence that they are employable, have the skills to apply for various job roles in a bank. ‘HouseWorkIsWork’ initiative is all about encouraging these women back to work.
Commenting on this initiative, Rajkamal Vempati, Axis Bank President and Head (HR) said that hiring the right and skilled candidates is a big challenge for big organizations like Axis Bank. ‘HouseWorkIsWork’ is Axis Bank’s way of exploring beyond the tired templates. It will help in hiring different kinds of people. The initiative will motivate women who have not participated in the workforce.
Since ‘HouseWorkIsWork’ initiative has been launched, it has received overwhelming participation from women across the country for job offers ranging from freelancers, human resources, customers care executives, IT professionals, CSR, and other positions that can keep women employed or regain work.
