Bhubaneswar inaugurates sensory park for differently-abled across all age groups

India’s first sensory park has been inaugurated in Bhubaneshwar for differently-abled across all age groups. Developed by Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL), the sensory park is aligned with the Smart City Project covering an area of about 1,368 Sq.m.

The park was inaugurated by Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD). Mayor Sulochana Das and other dignitaries were also present during the inauguration.

It has been developed with an investment of Rs 1 crore. The sensory park is equipped with various including insulated pathways, playing equipment for children, an open-air gym, and other child-friendly services that comply with the universal access guideline. The park will be favorable for the physically challenged children especially those with hearing and vision impairment.
