Sports Secretary R Vinnel Krishna shared his thoughts after reviewing the project, “The sports department has decided to invest in the up-gradation and upkeep of the playgrounds. These playgrounds need an enhanced infrastructure to meet the requirements of the sportsperson of various community clubs and residents. This association will help in bringing communities closer and boost our efforts to make youths strong, healthy, and active.”

He further added that using the school playgrounds will also solve the problem of the dearth of open space in the city. Although there are plenty of parks, none can be used as a playground.

BSCL General Manager Kamaljit Das said, “School playgrounds will remain open to enjoy outdoor activities in the morning and evening. This association will create easily accessible and safe spaces for school children and the local community.” He further added, “The main goal of this project is to give ample opportunities to residents to participate in outdoor activities.”
