The Government of India has approved a two-year extension of tenure for Kunal Kashyap (IRS C&CE: 2008), Commissioner (Housing), Delhi Development Authority (DDA), under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. His tenure has been extended beyond November 8, 2025, up to November 8, 2027.
Kashyap, who has been on central deputation since November 9, 2020, has played a key role in driving housing and infrastructure initiatives under DDA’s mandate to promote affordable and sustainable urban development in the national capital.
The Delhi Development Authority, currently headed by Vice Chairman N. Saravana Kumar (IAS: 2000: BR), comprises two key members — Finance Member and Engineer Member — and oversees major housing, land development, and urban planning projects in Delhi.
Prior to his current assignment, Kunal Kashyap served as Additional Commissioner, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), where he contributed to several urban infrastructure and civic development projects. His continued tenure at DDA is expected to provide leadership stability and support ongoing housing modernization and redevelopment efforts across the city.
