The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Wednesday recommended Chandrasekharan Raghuram for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) at Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), a key Public Sector Undertaking in India’s shipbuilding and defence manufacturing ecosystem.
A total of 11 candidates were interviewed as part of the selection process. Subject to requisite clearances and final approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), Raghuram is set to assume charge as CMD, HSL.
Currently, Raghuram serves as Assistant Chief of Material with the Indian Navy, bringing extensive experience in defence procurement, materials management, and strategic naval logistics.
His expected appointment is likely to strengthen HSL’s leadership as the shipyard continues to play a crucial role in India’s maritime defence infrastructure and indigenous shipbuilding initiatives.
