Cisco Partners with NAMTech to Spearhead Industry 4.0 Skills Development in Gujarat

Global technology leader Cisco has inked a MoU with the New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAMTech), an initiative by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. This groundbreaking collaboration is set to revolutionize the skill development landscape in the manufacturing industry by focusing on cybersecurity, networking, and artificial intelligence (AI) experiential learning.

In response to the increasing demand for skilled professionals driving digital transformation through Industry 4.0 technologies, Cisco’s cutting-edge training modules will be seamlessly integrated into NAMTECH’s existing programs. These include the International Professional Masters Program (iPMP) and the upcoming International Professional Technologists Program (iPTP), offering learners a comprehensive education in the latest technological advancements.

One of the key components of this partnership involves training participants in Cisco’s cyber range and smart city solutions, providing hands-on experience in real-world scenarios. The collaboration aims to develop a talent pipeline of more than 5,000 engineers and technicians over the next five years, addressing the critical shortage of skilled professionals in the manufacturing sector.

As a significant milestone, NAMTECH envisions the establishment of an industry-grade cybersecurity center of excellence in Gujarat. This center will play a pivotal role in fostering innovation, research, and practical application of cybersecurity solutions. The partnership with Cisco not only promises to enhance the employability of learners but also creates a gateway to career opportunities within Cisco and its extensive partner ecosystem.

The Cisco-NAMTech collaboration underscores the commitment to advancing education and skill development in emerging technologies, contributing to Gujarat’s position as a hub for cutting-edge industrial practices.
