In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its global growth and innovation initiatives, German enterprise software giant SAP has announced the promotion of Kulmeet Bawa. Currently serving as the President and Managing Director of SAP Indian Subcontinent, Bawa is set to take on the role of Global Chief Revenue Officer for the company’s business technology platform (BTP).
During the transition period, Bawa will continue to lead SAP India until February. The company has assured stakeholders that a successor for SAP India will be named within this timeframe, as mentioned in an official statement.
In his expanded role, Bawa will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of driving growth and fostering global adoption of SAP Business Technology Platform. This will involve overseeing key areas such as artificial intelligence, data and analytics, automation, and integration.
Paul Marriott, President of SAP Asia Pacific Japan, expressed commendation for Bawa’s exemplary leadership, highlighting the significant progress SAP India has made under his guidance. Bawa’s extensive track record includes leadership roles in prestigious technology companies like Adobe, Microsoft, and Sun Microsystems.
