Common branding to promote `Make in India’ should be considered

‘Make in India’ is an ambitious mission of India that aims to reduce the dependency on foreign sources. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the private sector to promote the factors of `vocal for local’ and `Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ in their marketing and branding efforts. He has urged the Indian industries to grab the new opportunities in some of the fastest-growing growing sectors including semi-conductors and electrical vehicles to reduce the import dependence.

PM said that all the companies manufacturing their products in India should emphasize on ‘Make in India’ branding when advertising. This will help people know that products are made in India. He further added that many people now want to only buy products made in India, thus companies should come forward and encash that opportunity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave an example of semiconductors and said India can become independent in manufacturing chips. He also urged the automobile and pharmaceuticals industries to take lead in making electric vehicles and medical equipment in India.
