CROP & PQMS portals launched to strengthen agriculture sector: Digital India

Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar had launched two new portals that will help to bring ease of doing business and make the system simple and transparent.

Comprehensive Registration of Pesticides (CROP) and Plant Quarantine Management System (PQMS) portals were launched by Narendra Singh Tomar during an event held at the Pusa Complex, New Delhi. One portal is developed for the registration of pesticides and another portal for documentation process of imports and exports of agri-products and plants.

Addressing the event, the minister said the two new portals will facilitate the process of pesticides registration and make documentation process for export-import simple and fair. The government will take required steps for making improvements in the system.

He further added that the Centre and the state government have initiated various measures to bring reforms, attract investments in the agriculture sector, and improve the income of farmers through an enhanced agri-marketing system.
