DIKSHA Platform Enhancing Digital Learning in India with Over 2,700 FLN e-Contents

The DIKSHA platform, a central initiative under the “One Nation, One Digital Platform” concept, continues to revolutionize digital learning across India. Managed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and fully funded through the National Component of the Samagra Shiksha scheme, DIKSHA has been instrumental in providing quality e-content for school education in all States and Union Territories (UTs).

With a federated architecture, the platform hosts individual tenants for 35 States and UTs, offering them the flexibility to tailor programs according to their specific curricular needs. Many states have already made their textbooks available on DIKSHA, supplementing them with additional learning resources like explanation videos, audios, interactive assessments, and text resources accessible via QR codes. These resources, known as Energized Digital Textbooks, provide students with a wealth of additional materials to enhance their learning experience.

A notable feature of DIKSHA is its dedicated vertical for Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), which houses over 2,700 e-contents, including assessment sheets, gamified content, infographics, videos, worksheets, activity sheets, and reading materials. These resources have been utilized more than 500,000 times by users across the country, highlighting the platform’s widespread adoption and impact.

The platform’s success and continuous development are a collaborative effort between NCERT and various States and UTs, ensuring that the content remains current and aligned with the respective curriculums.

The information was shared by the Minister of State for Education, Jayant Chaudhary, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today, underscoring the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for enhancing educational access and quality in India.
