The implementation of the Watershed component of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (WDC- PMKSY) has significantly contributed to the expansion of the economy and the promotion of capital formation. This initiative has played a crucial role in the development of rainfed and degraded areas. Notably, out of the 97 million hectares of degraded land, approximately 29 million hectares have been successfully covered under Watershed projects, making it one of the largest campaigns on a global scale.
To raise awareness among the public about these programs, the Department has devised a Media Plan set to launch on August 11th, 2023. The initial phase of the Campaign will encompass Outdoor Media, social media, and Bulk SMS components.
Following the first stage launch of the Media Campaign, additional components will be progressively incorporated to ensure comprehensive and targeted coverage.
