The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, and the Korea Transport Institute (KoTI), Republic of Korea, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding today at the Sejong National Research Complex. The agreement was formalized by Mr. Youngchan Kim, President of KoTI, and H.E. Amit Kumar, Ambassador of India to South Korea.
The MoU aims to leverage KoTI’s expertise to support India’s ambitious infrastructure goals, particularly under the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. It establishes a framework for institutional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint research initiatives between KoTI and DPIIT’s Logistics Division. The partnership will facilitate expert-led discussions, technical assistance, and training programs to strengthen logistics capabilities.
Key areas of collaboration include master planning, technology adoption, and innovation-driven approaches to infrastructure development. Additionally, the agreement will promote global recognition of India’s GIS-based logistics solutions and highlight achievements under the PM GatiShakti initiative.
