Earn Cash Prizes On Your Invoices Under ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar’ Scheme

New Delhi: Central Government has introduced a new invoice incentive program called ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar’ with the aim of promoting a culture of customers requesting invoices and bills for all their purchases. This initiative, in collaboration with state governments, was launched on September 1st, 2023, encouraging customers to actively seek invoices and bills for their purchases.

The act of seeking a bill for every purchase is being incentivized. This initiative aims to promote the practice of requesting authentic GST invoices from sellers when making consumer-to-business (C2B) transactions for goods or services.

The newly launched Pilot Scheme will run for 12 months in the states of Assam, Gujarat and Haryana and UTs of Puducherry, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. Citizens will be able to earn cash prizes on the GST invoices uploaded by them.

People have the opportunity to win a cash prize ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 1 crore through the ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar’ scheme. To be eligible for the lucky draw, the minimum purchase value for the invoice is set at Rs 200. Individuals can upload a maximum of 25 invoices per month, starting from September 1. At regular intervals, winning invoices will be selected randomly.

Under this scheme, all invoices issued by GST registered suppliers to consumers will qualify. The launch of this initiative on September 1 signifies a remarkable milestone in the nation’s efforts to enhance tax transparency. It is one of the significant milestones in the nation’s journey towards enhanced tax transparency.
