Educational Department Gears Up for Swift Completion of School Infrastructure Development

In a bid to bolster educational infrastructure across government schools, district officials under the guidance of Collector P. Pravinya are intensifying efforts to ensure timely completion of development projects in Warangal. With the upcoming academic year 2024-25 set to commence on June 12, the education department is racing against the clock to finalize infrastructure enhancements by June 10.

Collector Pravinya, spearheading this initiative, has been actively monitoring progress by visiting schools and conducting crucial meetings. Stressing the urgency of the endeavor, she has emphasized the need for swift action, particularly from the ‘Amma Adarsha Patashala Committees’, to meet the targeted deadline.

Of the 647 government schools in the district, commendably, Amma committees have been established in each institution. Presently, 319 school committees have already submitted proposals for development works, with 78 projects already underway.

In addition to infrastructure development, Collector Pravinya has directed officials to prioritize uninterrupted electricity and water supply in schools designated as polling stations ahead of the impending elections on May 13. To expedite the process, committees have been authorized to undertake works within a budget of ₹25,000 at their level, with tasks exceeding this limit expected to be completed by June 10. Through the formation of ‘Amma Adarsha Patashala Committees’ in all government and local body schools across the state, the government aims to address essential infrastructure needs.

Key initiatives include the strengthening of basic facilities, construction of girls’ toilets, provision of drinking water facilities, repair and renovation works, electrification of classrooms, sanitation measures, and installation of solar panels for sustainable energy solutions. This comprehensive approach not only aims to improve infrastructure but also ensures a conducive learning environment for students across the district.
