Government Announcements on Key Appointments and Recommendations

The Government announced several key appointments and recommendations on Wednesday, highlighting changes in various administrative roles:

Pranab Kumar Patel (IRSS: 1998), currently serving as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL) in Sambalpur, has been given the additional charge of the CVO position at South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL) in Bilaspur. This arrangement will be in effect for a period of six months starting from June 12, 2024.

Mayank Joshi (IFS: 2003) has been concurrently accredited as the next High Commissioner of India to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. He will continue to reside in Kingston, where he currently holds the position of High Commissioner of India to Jamaica.

L B Lal (ITS: 1997), serving as Joint Secretary (Director level) at the Union Public Service Commission, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. This move allows him to avail the benefit of promotion in his cadre.
