Government approves appointments and premature repatriation of 43 additional secretary and joint secretary-level officers

Appointment and premature repatriation of 43 additional secretary and joint secretary-level officers has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, headed by the Prime Minister. Geetha Meetina has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare for the tenure of five years. She was a 1997-batch IAS officer.

An Indian Forest Officer of the 1995-batch has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Bio-Technology. Satyendra Singh, an Indian Forest Officer of the 1996-batch has been appointed as Managing Director (JS level), National Horticulture Board, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Another Indian Forest Officer 1991-batch of Gujarat cadre has been appointed as Managing Director (JS level), National Agriculture Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

IAS officer of 1998-batch Srikant Nagulapalli, of the Andhra Pradesh cadre, was appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat. Puneet Kansal an lAS officer 1996-batch was appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
