The government of Himachal Pradesh has collaborated with TechEagle to initiate drone delivery of medical supplies. A Gurugram based start-up TechEagle’s Hybrid e-VTOL drone is built for consistent distribution of life-saving medicines, vaccines, and other medical essentials ins several parts of the country.
TechEagle has partnered with the Government of Himachal Pradesh to deliver medicines and vaccines in place which are hard to access, especially during the winter. Recently, a demonstration was undertaken for the delivery of medicines to sub-center in Kullu district from primary health centres (PHCs) via Hybrid e-VTOL Drone. Through this project, the government aims to improve the healthcare and supply chain in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Commenting on the initiative, Mukesh Repaswal, Director, Department of Information Technology, Himachal Pradesh said, “The drone trials will help ascertain the advantages and benefits that Himachal can drive from use of drones and help the State plan areas of intervention for extensive utilization of drones for provision of improved service delivery to its citizens. We are looking forward to working along with TechEagle in the successful demonstration of the advantages of drones in reaching far-flung and hard areas of the State.”
