Govt plans to launch a single portal for various schemes

For the easy access of all schemes, the government is actively working on a proposal to launch a single portal for various schemes handled by different ministries and departments. The central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision of ‘Minimum Government Maximum Governance’. The new portal will be a part of this ambitious vision which initially onboard 15 credit-linked government schemes.

Later on, more schemes will be gradually added, depending on compatibility, as a few of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes have involvement from various agencies.

Pilot testing has been done and loose ends are being tied up before the final launch of the portal. The State Bank of India and other lenders are involved in testing. According to sources, the portal will probably have an open architecture to facilitate the state governments and other institutions to onboard their schemes on it.
