Gujarat Government Transfers Several IAS Officers in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle

The Government of Gujarat has issued transfer and posting orders for IAS officers, impacting several key departments and districts across the state.

According to the official notification, IAS officer M. Thennarasan (2000 batch), who was serving as Principal Secretary, Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department, has now been appointed as Principal Secretary, Urban Development & Urban Housing Department.

IAS Ashwani Kumar (1997 batch), currently Principal Secretary, Urban Development & Urban Housing Department, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department. He will continue to hold the additional charge of Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs.

IAS Ramesh Chand Meena (1997 batch) will retain his position as Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, and has been given additional charge of the Ports and Transport Department.

IAS Milind Shivaram Torawane (2000 batch) has been appointed Principal Secretary, Panchayats, Rural Housing & Rural Development Department. He will also serve as Commissioner of Rural Development and Principal Secretary (Rural Development), while continuing as Managing Director of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC).

IAS Arti Kanwar (2001 batch), currently Secretary, Finance (Economic Affairs), has been assigned additional charge as Secretary, Finance (Expenditure).

IAS Jenu Devan (2006 batch), serving as Superintendent of Stamps and Inspector General of Registration, has been given additional responsibility as Managing Director, Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., Vadodara.

IAS Prabhav Joshi (2014 batch), Collector of Rajkot, has been appointed as Managing Director of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd., Gandhinagar.

IAS Ashish Kumar (2014 batch), Collector of Panchmahals-Godhra, has been posted as Director, Tribal Development, Gandhinagar. He will also hold the additional charge of CEO, Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG).

IAS Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar (2016 batch), who was serving as MD, Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., will now take over as Municipal Commissioner, Junagadh.

IAS Dr. Om Prakash (2016 batch), outgoing Municipal Commissioner of Junagadh, has been appointed as the new Collector of Rajkot.

IAS Ankit Pannu (2018 batch) has been transferred from the post of District Development Officer (DDO), Narmada-Rajpipla, to DDO, Jamnagar.

IAS Suthar Raj Rameshchandra (2019 batch) moves from DDO, Dangs-Ahwa to DDO, Narmada-Rajpipla.

IAS Patil Anand Ashok (2021 batch), currently Project Administrator, Tribal Area Sub Plan, Dangs-Ahwa, will additionally hold charge as DDO, Dangs-Ahwa.
