IPS Dr Sunil Gupta Appointed DIG at Bureau of Police Research and Development by MHA

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the appointment of IPS officer Dr Sunil Gupta as Deputy Director/Deputy Inspector General in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). Dr Gupta is a 2007-batch officer from the Jammu & Kashmir–AGMUT cadre.

According to the official order issued by the MHA, the appointment is on a deputation basis.

The BPR&D, an agency under the MHA, plays a pivotal role in modernizing India’s policing systems through research, training, policy development, and promotion of best practices. With his new assignment, Dr. Gupta is expected to contribute significantly to police reforms, strategic initiatives, and nationwide capacity-building efforts.
