In a groundbreaking leap towards advancing emergency healthcare, Gurugram proudly introduces the world’s first-ever portable hospital, the ‘Arogya Maitri Cube.’ This innovative medical facility, designed with indigenous expertise, boasts the remarkable capability to be swiftly assembled and operational within just one hour of arriving at an emergency site.

Amit Chaudhary, the Managing Director of Packers Products, expressed the significance of this milestone, stating, ‘We have designed this hospital that can be assembled and installed within one hour of reaching the emergency site.’ Notably versatile, the Arogya Maitri Cube is tailored to address a spectrum of emergencies, from natural disasters like earthquakes and floods to forest fires and war zones. With the capacity to treat up to 200 patients simultaneously, it stands as a beacon of hope for expedited medical assistance in critical situations, including the treatment of injuries like bullet wounds.

The Head of the BHISHM force, Retired Air Vice Marshal Tanmoy Roy, emphasized the rapid deployment capabilities of the surgical station, asserting that it can be set up within a mere 15 minutes in response to any calamity. This agility underscores the force’s dedication to efficiently addressing medical needs during emergencies.

The Arogya Maitri Cube is a key component of the larger ‘Arogya Maitri Project,’ a collaborative effort spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Defence, and the National Security Council. This initiative showcases India’s commitment to extending humanitarian aid and medical resources to developing nations grappling with natural disasters or humanitarian crises.

As a testament to India’s expanding role as a global healthcare leader, the Arogya Maitri Cube is a pivotal element within the project. It is part of the groundbreaking ‘Arogya Maitri Aid Cube,’ a modular trauma management and aid system meticulously crafted for swift deployment during mass casualty incidents (MCIs), whether in times of peace or war. The Aid Cube’s rapid deployability sets it apart in scenarios involving mass casualties, offering a comprehensive solution from basic aid to advanced medical and surgical care.

This remarkable achievement underscores India’s dedication to advancing global health and emergency response capabilities, portraying the nation as a beacon of innovation and compassion on the world stage. The Arogya Maitri Cube stands as a symbol of hope and resilience, embodying the spirit of solidarity in the face of adversity.
