HDFC Bank has updated its UPI terms and conditions

HDFC Bank has announced on its official website that the Terms and Conditions for its Unified Interface Payment (UPI) have been updated. A ticker stating, “We have updated our Terms and Conditions for UPI.  Please click here to read our revised T&Cs.” is running on the bank’s homepage.

Customers of the bank who want to transfer payments using UPI can so; a daily transaction limit is set of Rs 1 lakh or ten transactions, determined on a 2-hour basis. The ten transactions restriction applies exclusively to fund transfers and excludes bill pay and merchant transactions.

New UPI users or users who have changed their mobile number, sim card, or device can only transact up to Rs 5,000 during the first 24 hours on an Android phone and 72 hours on an iPhone. To know more about updated T&C, you can visit the official website of HDFC bank.
