All colleges in J&K to introduce skills courses this year

Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary Higher Education Department on Monday has announced that all colleges in J&K will be offering skill development courses. He has asked the colleges to draft a framework of courses to be offered under the National Education Policy and provide holistic development to young students.

During a virtual inauguration of an additional block in Government degree college Math, Kansal said, “A good college endeavors to give employability to youth and its lies in its academic excellence. The quality and quantum of improvement it brings in lives is the real test of its impact on society.”

Kansal has also asked the colleges to provide feedback system so that students can share their reviews on quality of instruction. This will provide an excellent chance to teachers to improve and build their strengths.

He has also assured that the UT administration would provide more pre-fabricated structures for the college in the current financial year.
