In a recent development, IAS officer Ajitabh Sharma, from the 1996 batch of the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of Industries in the Government of Rajasthan. The announcement was made in a recent notification by the state authorities, highlighting Sharma’s vast experience and expertise in administrative roles.
In his new role, Sharma will oversee key portfolios including Industries, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (M.S.M.E.), State Enterprises, and the Delhi Mumbai Corridor. Additionally, he will take charge as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of the Bhiwadi Integrated Development Authority (BIDA). Moreover, he will serve as the Principal Secretary for Investment and NRIs at BIP, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The 1996 batch officer from the Rajasthan cadre has previously served as the Chairman and Managing Director of Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited. He is a B.Tech Graduate in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
