The State Government of Chattisgarh has entrusted the additional responsibility of overseeing the Prime Minister Housing Scheme-Rural to the seasoned IAS officer Rajat Bansal. Bansal, a 2012 batch officer of the Chattisgarh cadre, will continue to fulfill his current duties as the Commissioner of Commerce Tax (GST) alongside this new role.
His previous roles include serving as the Commissioner of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, showcasing his commitment to rural development and welfare initiatives. His dual role as the Operator of this crucial scheme, in addition to his duties as the Commissioner of Commerce Tax (GST), reflects the government’s proactive approach towards effective governance and streamlined administration.
With a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Bansal has consistently demonstrated his dedication to public service and administrative efficiency. The State Government’s decision to appoint him as the Operator for the Prime Minister Housing Scheme-Rural underscores their confidence in his ability to handle multifaceted responsibilities.
