In a recent administrative appointment, IAS Raghvendra K Singh, a member of the 1997 batch, has been named the Principal Secretary to the newly sworn-in Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav. Singh will also take on the additional responsibility of serving as the Principal Secretary of Public Service Management.
Prior to this assignment, Singh held the position of Principal Secretary in the Mining Department. His extensive experience in public administration, coupled with his previous role as the Principal Secretary of Public Relations in the government of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, positions him well for his new responsibilities.
The appointment order states that Singh will be succeeding IAS officer Manish Rastogi. Formerly the Principal Secretary to ex-Chief Minister Chouhan, Rastogi, an IAS officer of the 1994 batch, has been reassigned as the Principal Secretary in the state government.
The administrative reshuffle comes in the wake of Dr. Mohan Yadav taking the oath of office as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal.
