In a recent administrative announcement, IAS officer T Ravikanth, a member of the 1998 batch, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the newly elected Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma. The order was issued by the state department of personnel.
Simultaneously, IAS officer Anandhi, from the 2007 batch, currently serving as the state’s IT and Communication Secretary, has been designated as the Secretary to the Chief Minister. Additionally, IAS officer Dr. Saumya Jha, belonging to the 2017 batch and presently serving as the CEO of Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council, has been temporarily appointed as Joint Secretary.
Ravikanth, who has been serving as Principal Secretary (Medical Education), will take over from IAS officer Kuldeep Ranka, who was the Principal Secretary to the former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot.
All three officers will continue to hold their existing positions alongside their new responsibilities. These appointments follow the election of Bhajan Lal Sharma as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan on December 15.
