IRS Gaurav Mittal Takes Charge as CBI Superintendent of Police

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has appointed IRS Gaurav Mittal as the new Superintendent of Police (SP). The 2012-batch Indian Revenue Service – Customs and Indirect Taxes (IRS-C&IT) officer is set to assume his responsibilities for a tenure of five years.

Prior to this high-profile appointment, Mittal held the position of Joint Commissioner in the Mumbai GST and CX Zone. With an illustrious career in the Indian Revenue Service, Mittal has showcased his commitment to public service and has now been entrusted with a key role in the country’s premier investigation agency.
