The accomplished IAS officer Kanishak Kataria has been elevated to the position of Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel (DoP), Government of Rajasthan, and is set to spearhead crucial administrative responsibilities in the state capital, Jaipur. The announcement comes following Kataria’s successful stint as the Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad of Alwar.
Hailing from Kota, Rajasthan, Kataria emerged as the all India topper of his batch in 2019, achieving the remarkable feat of securing an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) position in his maiden attempt. Prior to joining the civil services, Kataria made a noteworthy decision to depart from a lucrative corporate job in a foreign country, showcasing his commitment to public service.
An alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Kataria holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science, with a Minor in Applied Statistics. His academic prowess and dedication to excellence have consistently set him apart, both in the educational realm and now in the administrative arena.
