IRS Officer Rahul Navin Appointed as Special Director, Directorate of Enforcement

A seasoned IRS-IT officer Rahul Navin has been appointed as the Special Director of the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), attaining the rank and pay equivalent to Additional Secretary. Mr. Navin, a member of the 1993 batch, had been serving as the Acting Director of the ED since September 15, 2023, and Special Director prior to his recent promotion.

The decision to elevate Navin to the esteemed position was formally approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), underscoring his commendable service and dedication to the enforcement agency. This promotion is a testament to his exemplary track record and the confidence reposed in his capabilities to lead the ED.

Rahul Navin, with a background as an IRS-IT officer, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. His leadership during his tenure as the Acting Director, following the completion of the term of the previous director, Sanjay Kumar Mishra, has been widely appreciated.
