The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the transfer and posting of four senior officers, including two IAS and one JKAS officer, in the interest of governance efficiency.
According to an official order, Shantmanu, IAS (AGMUT:1991), who currently serves as the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the Higher Education Department, has been given additional charge as the Administrative Secretary of the School Education Department.
Meanwhile, Suresh Kumar Gupta, IFS (AGMUT:1991), who has been serving as the Principal Secretary to the Government, Culture Department, has been relieved of his additional duties.
Saurabh Bhagat, IAS (AGMUT:2002), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government in the Science and Technology Department, has now been assigned the additional role of Administrative Secretary for the Information Technology Department. This move relieves Shantmanu of his additional responsibilities in the department.
Furthermore, K. Ramesh Kumar, IFS (AGMUT:2000), formerly the Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) for Settlement & Demarcation, J&K, has been transferred to serve as the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Culture Department, thereby relieving Suresh Kumar Gupta of this charge.
In a separate order, Alyaz Ahmad Naisroo, JKAS, who is presently the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag, has been given the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Pahalgam, until further orders.
