Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, currently on a four-day visit to Japan, has announced that the state exported goods worth USD 92.8 million to Japan in the financial year 2023-24. While highlighting this achievement, he invited Japanese business leaders to explore investment opportunities in the state.
During his visit, Yadav emphasized Madhya Pradesh’s economic growth, which has tripled over the past decade, and outlined the state’s ambitious target to double its economy within the next five years. He stated that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly enhancing its industrial capabilities to attract global investors, including those from Japan.
The Chief Minister also underlined the availability of a skilled workforce in the state, positioning it as a prime destination for foreign investments. He expressed optimism about fostering stronger collaborations with Japan, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, and technology.
In a key announcement, Yadav confirmed that the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 will be held in Bhopal on February 24-25. The summit is expected to attract over 15,000 investors from more than 30 countries, providing a significant platform for business leaders to explore opportunities in the state.
With Madhya Pradesh strengthening its economic and industrial landscape, the state government remains committed to fostering an investor-friendly environment. Yadav’s visit to Japan is expected to pave the way for new partnerships, further boosting trade and investment between the two regions.
