Kerela Government raises retirement age of state PSU employees to 60

An outspoken left-wing youth organisation has criticised the Kerela government for universally raising the retirement age of most state PSU employees to 60. The order was made on Saturday in response to the advice of an expert committee that had conducted a thorough investigation into the creation of a common framework for the pay/wage structure of PSU in the state, with the exception of Kerela State Board of Road Transportation, Kerela State Board of Electricity, and Kerela Water Authority.

The expert committee had advised that all state PSU employees’ retirement age be raised consistently to 60 as it is for central PSUs.
