Anupriya Patel, Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry has urged the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to adopt advanced technology for increasing productivity and promoting sustainability. Addressing the Inaugural Session of the First FICCI Industry 4.0 Awards function and Conference today, Patel gave assurance of the Government’s support and encouraged them to take the ‘Industry 4.0’ to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Patel said, “Industry 4.0 is something that we must embrace and adopt. Manufacturing, as well as Exports, has to contribute because in the post-pandemic scenario, you all know how the supply chains have been disrupted and there is a wonderful opportunity which lies ahead for us, for the country.”
Further, she added, we are moving towards the 4th Industrial Revolution, ‘Industry 4.0’, an era of Automation and Data Exchange at all levels of production to boost productivity, and efficiency and resolve the issues of sustainability, climate change, etc.
Anupriya Patel also added, “Industry must embrace the adoption of Industry 4.0. The industry sector has potential to contribute to the economic development which is sustainable and inclusive.”
