In a historic step towards fostering technological innovation and excellence within India’s Defence establishments, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) signed a MoU.
The agreement, aimed at enhancing synergy, cooperation, and collaboration in various fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), was signed by General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), and S Krishnan, representing MeitY.
The landmark event was attended by senior officers from the tri-services and officials from MeitY, underscoring the importance of unified efforts in integrating advanced technologies within India’s defence framework.
The collaboration between MoD and MeitY is expected to focus on key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, cyber security, secure communication systems, and digital transformation, ensuring the Indian Armed Forces are equipped with state-of-the-art technology for future challenges.
