The Government of Gujarat has announced the appointment of Pankaj Joshi (IAS: 1989: GJ) as the next Chief Secretary of the state. Joshi will assume office on January 31, 2025, succeeding Raj Kumar (IAS: 1987: GJ), who is set to retire on the same day.

Pankaj Joshi, who is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister of Gujarat, has a distinguished career in the Indian Administrative Service. His tenure as Chief Secretary will extend until October 31, 2025.
