Neha Jain, IAS (2014 Batch Officer)
Neha Jain is a distinguished IAS officer with an exemplary career in public service, currently serving as the Special Secretary for the Department of Information Technology & Electronics (IT&E) in the Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP). With over eight years of experience in various leadership roles, she has made significant contributions to the administration, governance, and industrial development of the state.
Her current role as the Special Secretary, IT&E, reflects her expertise in the integration of technology within government processes, where she works to enhance digital infrastructure and promote technological advancements in the state. Prior to this, Neha Jain served as the District Magistrate of Kanpur Dehat from April 2022 to August 2023, demonstrating exceptional leadership in managing district-level governance and implementing public welfare initiatives. She also held the position of Additional CEO at the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDC) from December 2020 to April 2022, where her strategic initiatives focused on boosting industrial investments in Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier in her career, Neha Jain served as the Chief Development Officer of Firozabad and Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Lucknow, overseeing critical administrative functions, including law and order, development programs, and rural governance. Her ability to handle complex administrative challenges has earned her recognition across various regions of Uttar Pradesh.
An alumnus of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Neha Jain underwent rigorous training during her IAS probation period from September 2014 to July 2016. Before her civil services career, she worked at IBM India Pvt. Ltd. for nearly four years, which provided her with a strong foundation in technology and management. She holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University.
In addition to her administrative prowess, Neha Jain is also a passionate artist and poet, reflecting her multifaceted personality. Her journey as an IAS officer showcases her dedication to public service, leadership, and her pursuit of excellence in the development of Uttar Pradesh.
