DDU Gorakhpur University and NIELIT have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver job-focused courses and training in the future skill technology within the Gorakhpur region, ensuring that candidates are well-prepared for the industry’s demands in the realm of Information, Electronics, and Communication Technology (IECT).
With over 350 colleges and 3 lakh candidates, DDU is set to leverage this collaboration to provide internships and programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the IECT sector. Additionally, this initiative will play a crucial role in upskilling the economically disadvantaged youth of Purvanchal, enhancing their employability prospects.
DDU is strategizing to introduce online programs, and the collaboration with NIELIT will facilitate a conducive environment for both students and faculty to engage in learning of international standards.

Commenting on the collaboration, Dr Madan Mohan Tripathi, Director General said, ‘NIELIT caters to the training, consultancy, design and product development needs of IECT industries and allied sectors.’
He also discussed the Plan and Road Map to achieve the skilling target and enhance the performance of the NIELIT centres.
Anuj Malik, CEO, Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) has shared an Expression of Interest (EOI) with Dr D K Mishra, Director, NIELIT Gorakhpur for setting up a Skill Centre of NIELIT in GIDA in which GIDA will be offering a built-up space and land, free of cost for 5 years.
NIELIT is set to establish a cutting-edge facility that will prioritize the progress of technical education, skill development, and employment prospects within the region. The vision will foster technical excellence, innovation and promotes entrepreneurship by nurturing start-ups. It will fulfil the demand of skilled manpower for Industries of GIDA.
