NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, announced the appointment of Sarit Maheshwari as its new CEO effective immediately.
The decision was approved by the Board of Directors during its meeting held on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Maheshwari succeeds Rajiv Gupta, who ceases to hold the position of Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel from the same date.
Maheshwari brings with him over 35 years of extensive experience in the power sector. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Head of Project at NTPC Korba, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing operations and driving strategic initiatives in one of NTPC’s key thermal power stations.
