One lakh intership opportunities launched for youth – Union Education Minister

Over one lakh internship opportunities for youth through the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) portal were launched by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday. The students seeking an internship can access it on the AICTE portal.

During the launch, Pradhan said that these internship opportunities will help the students to understand how a particular industry works. He also added that he is happy that the industry today is recognizing the need for an apprenticeship, skilling, and re-skilling.

Union Education Minister tweeted, “As we prepare the roadmap for India @ 2047, the year India will complete 100 years of Independence, we must work together and aim to provide 100 million internship opportunities in the next 2-3 years for boosting the employability of youth and building a more productive economy.”

He also tweeted, “I also encourage @ AICTE India to find ways to link the internship ecosystem with Academic Bank of Credit and widen the net of internships to make internship & apprenticeships opportunities available for all age groups.”
