PM Modi Highlights Achievements in Toy Manufacturing Sector, Acknowledges Boost to Aatmanirbharta

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today emphasized the significant strides made in the toy manufacturing sector under the Government’s initiatives, highlighting its contribution to India’s self-reliance (Aatmanirbharta) and the revival of traditional crafts and enterprise.

Responding to a post by the Mann Ki Baat Updates handle on X, the Prime Minister recalled a pivotal moment from one of his Mann Ki Baat episodes where the focus was placed on promoting indigenous toy manufacturing.

It was during one of the #MannKiBaat episodes that we had talked about boosting toy manufacturing, and powered by collective efforts across India, we’ve covered a lot of ground in that. Our strides in the sector have boosted our quest for Aatmanirbharta and popularised traditions and enterprise, PM Modi wrote in his post.

The toy manufacturing sector has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, driven by policy support, entrepreneurial efforts, and a renewed emphasis on traditional Indian designs and sustainable production. The Government’s initiatives have not only boosted local production but also positioned India as a key player in the global toy market.

The Prime Minister’s acknowledgment of the sector underscores the Government’s commitment to fostering economic self-reliance while preserving India’s rich cultural heritage. The efforts in this domain align with the broader vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, promoting local industries, creating employment opportunities, and encouraging innovation among Indian manufacturers.

With continued efforts, the toy manufacturing sector is poised to play an even larger role in driving economic growth and highlighting India’s cultural and creative legacy on the global stage.
