Skill-Based Curriculum Reform and Digital Platform Expansion

The Government of India is set to introduce a skill-based curriculum for Class 11 and 12, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020. The move will shift senior secondary education from degree-focused learning to competence and employability-driven training, aiming to address industry skill gaps and foster innovation from an early academic stage.

Additionally, the DIKSHA digital platform continues to scale, with over 27.5 crore users (including 1.5 crore teachers) and 70% rural penetration, supporting e-learning nationwide. Autonomy reforms—through the proposed Higher Education Commission of India (HECI)—are empowering universities and colleges to innovate curricula, ensuring India remains competitive in global rankings and research output.
