The Uttarakhand education department on Tuesday unveiled the Samarth e-governance platform, which will offer all administrative and educational updates, including details on admission tests, compensation scales, and appointments to 140 public schools and five state universities. The action, according to officials, has been taken in an effort to increase the state’s educational system’s transparency. At the initiative’s inaugural event, education minister Dhan Singh Rawat remarked, “All information connected to the ministries would now be available with the one click.
Along with offering pupils a high-quality education, a teacher-sharing platform will soon be implemented, linking numerous private and public schools around the nation.
Also accessible through the internet are 40 academic learning programmes. According to the minister, 200 assistant professors of science will be sent to the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru for specialised training, while IIM Kashipur will train teachers from state universities. Meanwhile, he stated that the state will begin implementing the new education policy (NEP – 2020) in September of this year.
