Telangana Government Undertakes Major Administrative Reshuffle with Transfer of 26 IAS Officers

In a strategic move to optimize administrative efficiency, the Telangana state government has executed a comprehensive reshuffle involving 26 IAS officers, including prominent bureaucrat Smita Sabharwal, Secretary to the Chief Minister.

The realignment of administrative responsibilities includes key appointments to various departments, with the aim of enhancing governance and promoting specialized expertise in specific domains. Notable among the appointments are:

  • Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka (1995): Appointed as Principal Secretary to Government (Mines & Geology), I&C Department.
  • Ahmad Nadeem (1997): Assigned as Principal Secretary to the Government, Planning Department.
  • Rahul Bojja (2000): Takes charge as Secretary to the Government, Irrigation & CAD Department.
  • Dr. A Sharath (2005): Appointed as Secretary to the Government, Tribal Welfare Department.
  • D Divya (2010): Assumes office as Director of Municipal Administration and State Nodal Officer, Prajavani.
  • Harichandana Dasari (2010): Appointed as Collector and District Magistrate, Nalgonda.
  • Bharati Hollikeri (2010): Posted as Director of Archaeology.
  • K Shashanka (2013): Takes over as Collector and District Magistrate, Rangareddy.
  • Adwait Kumar Singh (2013): Assigned as Collector and District Magistrate, Mahabubabad.
  • Chittem Lakshmi (2013): Assumes the role of Managing Director, TS Dairy Development Coop. Federation Ltd.
  • IAS officer S Krishna Aditya (2014) has been posted as Director, Labour.
  • IAS officer Aisha Masrat Khanam (2015) to serve as Secretary, TS Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society.
  • IAS officer S Sangeetha Satyanarayana (2015) has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister (CMO).
  • IAS officer Valluru Kranthi (2016) has been appointed as Collector and District Magistrate, Sangareddy.
  • IAS officer B M Santhosh (2017) to serve as Collector and District Magistrate, Jogulamba Gadwal.
  • IAS officer Abhilasha Abhinav (2018) has been placed at the disposal of the MA & UD Department for posting as Zonal Commissioner, GHMC.
  • IAS officer P Kadhiravan (2020) has been posted as Additional Collector (Local Bodies), Hyderabad.
  • IAS officer B Venkatesham (1995) has been placed in full additional charge (FAC) of the post of Principal Secretary to the Government, BC Welfare Department.
  • IAS officer Sandeep Kumar Sultania (1998) has been placed in FAC of the post of Secretary to Government (RWS), PR & RD Department.
  • IAS officer Dr. Jyoti Buddha Prakash (2002) has been placed in FAC of the post of Member Secretary, TS PCB.
  • IAS officer M Raghunandana Rao (2002) has been placed in FAC of the post of Secretary to Government (Political), General Administration Department.
  • IAS officer M Prashanti (2009) has been placed in FAC of the post of Director, AYUSH.
  • IAS officer D Krishna Bhaskar (2010) has been placed in FAC of the posts of Special Secretary to Government, Finance, and Planning Departments.
  • IAS officer R V Karnan (2012) has been placed in FAC of the post of Managing Director, Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC).
  • IAS officer M Haritha (2013) has been placed in FAC of the post of Director for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
