The list of top 75 cities shortlisted for phase 1 of the India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) 2022 has been declared. These cities have come up with innovative ideas to promote sustainable development in urban areas. The cities which had qualified for stage 1 of the ISAC 2022 had to submit the award proposals across six award categories, including project awards, innovation awards, city awards, state/UT awards, leadership awards, and partners awards, latest by June 30.
The cities are Surat, Udaipur, Varanasi, Agra, Bhopal, Indore, Jaipur, Pune, Ahmedabad, Tumakurum, Ranchi, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Aurangabad, Kanpur, Kota, Vellore, Salem, Ajmer, Shivamagga, Rajkot, Thoothukudi, Chennai, Aligarh, Coimbatore, Solapur, Jabalpur, Hubballi-Dharwad, Madhurai, Visakhapatnam, Sagar, Chandigarh, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Bareilly, Belagavi, NDMC, Nagpur, Ujjain, Thanjavur, Vadodara, Jhansi, Tiruppur, Karnal, Stna, Bengaluru, Bhagalpur, Tirunelveli, Panaji, New Town Kolkata, Sharanpur, Dahod, Jalandhar, Thiruvananthapuram, Thane, Rourkela, Kakinada, Tiruchirappalli, Amaravati, Patna, Moradabad, Bhubaneswar, Amritsar, Gwalior, Bilaspur, Port Blair, Raipur, Biharsharif, Kochi, Muzaffarpur, Dehradun, and Jammu.
