TVS Motor and Zomato Partners to Accelerate Last Mile Green Deliveries

Bangaluru: TVS Motor Company, a well-known global manufacturer of motorcycles and three-wheelers, has announced a strategic partnership with Zomato, a popular food ordering and delivery platform. This collaboration is in line with TVS Motor’s dedication to green and sustainable mobility solutions. It strengthens the company’s efforts to electrify various modes of transportation and supports Zomato’s initiatives to promote the use of electric vehicles (EVs) among last-mile delivery partners. The goal of this partnership is to revolutionize urban transportation by combining TVS Motor’s advanced electric scooter technology with Zomato’s extensive network of delivery partners.

As part of this partnership, TVS Motor will deploy more than 10,000 of its electric scooters, equipped with advanced electric powertrains and superior battery technology, over the next two years. These vehicles will play a significant role in transforming last-mile delivery services and help Zomato reduce its carbon footprint. TVS Motor will also ensure that Zomato’s delivery partners have access to charging stations within their proximity and seamless digital integration to facilitate smooth deliveries.

Manu Saxena, Senior Vice President of Electric Vehicles at TVS Motor Company, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that the success of TVS iQube Electric has paved the way for expanding their electric offerings in various segments. He emphasized that last-mile delivery services are crucial for the rapid adoption of EVs, and TVS Motor is proud to partner with Zomato in electrifying their delivery partners’ vehicles. This strategic partnership marks another milestone in TVS Motor’s journey to provide intelligent and reliable EV products and services with the lowest total cost of ownership to delivery partners.

Rinshul Chandra, Chief Operations Officer of Zomato, highlighted their commitment to achieving 100% EV adoption by 2030 and being the first food ordering and delivery platform to join the EV100 campaign by Climate Group. He mentioned that Zomato is partnering with more than 50 companies in the EV ecosystem, with the goal of onboarding over 100,000 EV-based delivery partners on their platform within the next two years. The partnership with TVS Motor further accelerates their commitment, leveraging TVS Motor’s global reputation in sustainable mobility. Together, they aim to facilitate greener last-mile deliveries by transitioning delivery partners’ vehicles to EVs.
