Union Home Ministry Orders Mid-Level Bureaucratic Reshuffle; Bipul Pathak Moved to Delhi from J&K

In a mid-sized bureaucratic reshuffle, the Union Home Ministry has transferred several key Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre. While the ministry is yet to outline its broader agenda behind the moves, the transfer of Bipul Pathak (IAS: 1992: AGMUT) from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) to Delhi has drawn particular attention.

Bipul Pathak, a senior IAS officer of the 1992 batch, has played a significant role in the administration of J&K over the years. His transfer to the national capital indicates a potential shift to more central responsibilities.

Other transfers include:

M Raju (IAS: 2005: AGMUT) has been reassigned from Puducherry to Jammu and Kashmir.

Saugat Biswas (IAS: 2006: AGMUT) has moved from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Rashmi Singh (IAS: 2007: AGMUT) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi.

Yasha Mudgal (IAS: 2007: AGMUT) will take on a new role in Puducherry, moving from Jammu and Kashmir.

Ram Niwas Sharma (IAS: 2010: AGMUT) has been transferred from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir.

YVVJ Rajsekhar (IAS: 2012: AGMUT) has moved from Delhi to Arunachal Pradesh.

Nidhi Malik (IAS: 2013: AGMUT) has been reassigned from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir.
