Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan unveiled the TeacherApp, a cutting-edge digital platform developed by the Bharti Airtel Foundation, designed to empower educators with future-ready skills and elevate India’s education system to meet the demands of 21st-century classrooms.
The launch event, themed “Elevating Teachers, Elevating India”, witnessed the presence of Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises; Mamta Saikia, CEO of Bharti Airtel Foundation; along with prominent dignitaries, educators, school principals, and B.Ed. students.
Addressing the audience, Union Minister Pradhan emphasized the vital role of teachers in shaping the nation’s future, calling them the “real Karmayogis.” He highlighted that the government, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, is prioritizing continuous capacity building for educators to prepare them for the knowledge-driven economy of the 21st century. “Enlightened teachers create enlightened students. As India progresses, educators will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities and driving the nation’s growth story,” he stated.

- Teaching Kits: A dedicated section with 900+ hours of teaching materials, including videos, project-based activities, worksheets, lesson plans, and question banks.
- Live Expert Sessions: Practical strategies for real-world classroom challenges.
- Community Features: Platforms for sharing exceptional teacher impact stories.
Rakesh Bharti Mittal remarked that the TeacherApp represents a significant step towards empowering teachers with world-class resources to foster creativity, critical thinking, and innovation. “To make India thrive as a global economic leader, we must ensure educators are equipped to deliver exceptional learning experiences,” he added.
The platform is aligned with NEP 2020’s vision of creating safe and joyful learning environments and is developed with inputs from educators nationwide. It currently collaborates with 12 states, leveraging technology and partnerships to transform education delivery.
